There is mounting speculation that a ministerial reshuffle is imminent as parliament opens again following summer recess.
The re-shuffle, which could come as early as tomorrow, is unlikely to affect any high ranking ministers like the chancellor or home secretary, but changes are expected in other cabinet and ministerial posts.
Hopefully first to be removed will be dopey justice secretary Ken Clarke, who doesn’t know what constitutes a rape and is far too soft and liberal to run the justice department, he’d be much better in charge of energy or the environment, somewhere where his lefty policies will come in handy, or sack him altogether.
I’m also not so keen on the rumour that David Laws, who claimed expenses to pay a partners rent could be coming back, to me that sends out entirely the wrong message for a government that is looking for a new approach to get the country moving again.
Whatever Cameron decides hopefully he’ll throw in a big scalp and show that he isn’t afraid to make a big decision and show decisive leadership, and hopefully this re-shuffle and the announcement of new investment and cutting the dither will take the economy back into the black.
