A "dull" calendar of red telephone
boxes around Wales has struggled to sell a single copy.
The "Fast Disappearing Red Telephone Boxes of Wales 2014" has
been branded "naff, nerdy and boring" by its publisher Kevin
Beresford.
It has failed to attract any
buyers since going on sale in September.
I’m not in the publishing game but
I don’t think publishers are supposed to call their own products “naff, nerdy
and boring”.
I’m also quite confident that Mr
Beresford should never have given the go ahead for this calendar to be made in
the first place.
Of course this calendar hasn’t
attracted any buyers since it went on sale, who in their right mind would want
a calendar with twelve different pictures of a phone box? Nobody obviously.
I wonder what they’ll come up with
next year the "Fast Disappearing Business of Kevin Beresford", January could be a
picture of his empty diary, May could be a picture of his empty wallet,
September a picture of the administrators coming in, and finally December could
be Mr Beresford sleeping rough on the street using all his Fast
Disappearing Red Telephone Boxes of Wales 2014 calendars as a quilt.
That sounds much more interesting than pictures of a
load of telephone boxes.
