Stop Rambling on about Yorkshire’s Medal Table Position

Team GB have certainly been inspired by performing on home soil, but there’s one little vignette of information that keeps cropping up over and over again and it’s getting on my nerves.

It’s the fact that if Yorkshire was an independent state it would be 10^th in the medal table, I found this mildly amusing at first but now it’s just annoying.

So what, Yorkshire isn’t the only place that can say this, the US city of Baltimore could say if they were independent, we are 15^th on the medal table, because that’s where Michael Phelps comes from. (in Beijing Phelps on his own would have made the top 10)

So enough its a silly little joke that has outstayed its welcome
